Supporting Contra Costa Families During the CalFresh Benefit Delay
Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits are delayed for November. Households will not receive new funds on their EBT cards until federal funding is restored.

Contra Costa County is preparing to support residents affected by the CalFresh delay:
Up to $21 million allocated for grocery debit cards distributed at these EHSD offices:
1305 MacDonald Ave., Richmond
151 Linus Pauling Dr., Hercules
400 Ellinwood Way, Pleasant Hill
4545 Delta Fair Blvd., Antioch
Food boxes will also be available for all families (regardless of immigration status) beginning Monday, November 3rd at these same locations.
